This new Canadian holiday (which, oddly, still isn’t endorsed by the Canadian government) celebrates all writers, those men and women who overcome a blank page or screen—and isn’t that worth a hug? This year, we are asking the Hug-A-Writer fairy to travel far and wide across Canada to make sure no writer is left out. Canada, it’s time to get hugged!

Read the terms and conditions, download the Hug-A-Writer images, and let your imagination run free. (If you need some inspiration, check out the gallery for what others have come up with!) We can’t wait to see the Hug-A-Writer fairy get into some awesome adventures.

When you’re happy with your image, email it to us at hugawriter@scriptmedical.com. Don’t forget to let a friend know you got hugged (and so can they)!

As part of the Hug-A-Writer festivities, for each person who submits a photo, we will make a donation to two wonderful charities: Médecins Sans Frontières, the world's leading independent international medical relief organisation, and Dancing Classrooms, a character building arts program for inner-city schools.
