A drink for your Hug-A-Writer Day party

The official beverage of Hug-A-Writer Day is, of course, a boozy coffee drink – actually, the Ideal Form of a boozy coffee drink. We call it the Platonic Hug.*

To make your own Platonic Hug, start with 1 cup of scalding hot coffee.
Add 3 Tbsp** Benedictine and Brandy (B&B, a liqueur).
Top with a dollop of whipped cream.
Serve.
Embrace (the cup).

* Not all Hug-A-Writer Day hugs have to be chaste, but this one should satisfy
St. Francis.
